Perhaps the best thing I can share to articulate how much we love this winery is to tell you that we live in San Francisco, 30 minutes from Napa/Sonoma valleys, and we get SO excited each time our wine club shipment from Fallbrook Winery arrives!

Among the avocado orchards and stands of cypress trees, you will find a very successful family-run winery that makes award-winning vino. Its estate wines, such as the BDX and Sangiovese, are worth the trip alone.

– Lindsey Pomeroy, San Diego Magazine

Visitors lately have come knocking for the winery’s 33 Degree series from 2009, which includes a sturdy backbone of smooth Cabernet Franc, fruit-forward Sangiovese and well-structured Malbec, all born from handpicked grapes.

– Frank Sabatini Jr., Pacific San Diego Magazine

As far as I'm concerned, it is the only good Chardonnay in SD County.

– Marie H

Really great wines, well worth the drive!

North San Diego County is becoming a home for Italian grapes, and Fallbrook's Gracie Hill Vineyard is proving particularly hospitable. This Super Tuscan styled blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot and 10% with Cabernet Sauvignon is bright and spicy on the nose, and shows fleshy red fruit character in the mouth, with complementary Tuscan herbs as you would expect in a wine of this type. It's perfectly blended and would slip into a blind tasting of Italian wines with ease. Very nicely done! A Platinum Award winner at the 2015 Critics Challenge International Wine

Fallbrook Could Be Southern California's Greatest Winery... Hardly anyone comes to San Diego for the wine. Maybe they should, for at least one San Diego winery, Fallbrook, left quite an impression on the judges at Winemaker Challenge II.

– Robert Whitley

At Fallbrook Winery, you'll find beautiful grounds, knowledgeable pourers (we had Vernon!), and of course, some fantastic wines.

– Susan W.

The Fallbrook wines we sampled are also quite impressive. Several of them are award-winners, including our favored Syrah Special Selection (2004), a silver medal winner in the San Diego National Wine Competition.

– Mary M.

Fallbrook Winery has some amazing Chardonnay... It is sweet, light, and just right.

– Faye H.

Look for the Fallbrook BDX, a rich Bordeaux Style Blend. It is perfect with any filet, yet soft enough to have on a chilly, windy San Diego winter evening. The Cabernet Franc is sophisticated, with just enough tannin and acidity to balance out your palate...

– Lisa Redwine, San Diego Union-Tribune

Our congratulations go out to Fallbrook Winery for the wine of the year, a 2011 33°N Rosato Rosé....Fallbrook Winery also showed it wasn't a one trick pony as it took Best White Wine with its 2010 Chardonnay.

– L'Italo-Americano

I recently stopped by Fallbrook Winery for a visit with Ira Gourvitz and winemaker Vernon Kindred. I always enjoy visiting there. It's way off the beaten path, a quiet oasis.

– WINEormous

It's worth visiting this winery, perched on a lovely hillside outside Fallbrook, where winemaker Vernon Kindred produces bottles that bring back medals from state and national competitions. They make wine from grapes grown on 36 hilly acres surrounding the winery and from other areas in California. Try the estate-bottled Rosato Sangiovese rosé, fruity sauvignon blanc reserve, or the big Syrah special selection.
