2010 33 Degree North Merlot
This 100 percent, estate-grown Merlot came from grapes that were hand picked in the early morning hours of September 10, 2007 and placed in small fermentation bins. The grapes were manually punched every four hours for 14 days to achieve optimal color extraction and intense fruit flavors. This wine has a wonderful oak-to-fruit balance with a hint of Merlot floral on the nose. It possesses rich, dark, fruit flavors that blend into a nicely-balanced, mid-palette and a smooth tannin finish. The wine has a bright color and is quite viscous. It's drinkable now, but will benefit from additional bottle aging. There were only 25 cases bottled, so order your soon while they last!
